We CARE: Choose responsibility, Act safely, and Respect others Everywhere

Some Timely Tuesday Updates - October 13

Posted Date: 10/13/26 (05:10 PM)

Happy Tuesday. Here are a few timely updates as we look forward to some special events at the end of this week.

1. Family Engagement

The 2026 climate survey results showed that families value Fawn Hollow’s strong sense of community and the many activities that bring families together. Families also expressed interest in more opportunities to understand and support their child’s learning. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey linked below.  Your feedback will help us identify what is most helpful to families and explore additional ways to strengthen the connection between home and classroom learning.  The survey will be open through the weekend.

2.  Trick or Trunk
The PTO is hoping the weather cooperates for Friday's Trick or Trunk.  They will make a decision at 3PM and notify families if it is being postponed to the rain date.

3. Heart of a Lion and Think Pink
Our Monroe community continues to show what it means to CARE! Last week's Think Pink Day was a huge success! Thanks to the generosity of our Fawn Hollow families, we raised an incredible $860 to support Think Pink Monroe and its work helping local individuals and families affected by breast cancer!

As promised, Mrs. Ances and Mrs. Nelly celebrated with PINK HAIR last week! We loved seeing our students come together to support such an important cause!

❤️ Up Next: Heart of a Lion Day — Friday, October 16!

Wear RED, BLACK, or MONROE LIONS GEAR on Friday and donate $1 or more to Heart of a Lion! 🦁❤️

All donations will go directly to support a Monroe family currently facing cancer. As always, participation and donations are completely optional.

🩷 How Much PINK Can Mrs. Ances and Mrs. Nelly Handle?

We have some FUN fundraising challenges ahead! As our Monroe Cares donations grow, Mrs. Ances and Mrs. Nelly have agreed to the following challenges:

  • $500 — PINK HAIR! ✅ Challenge completed!

  • $1,000 — PINK from Head to Toe! Watch us show off our best all-pink outfits!

  • $1,500 — Pink Panther Dance Party! Get ready for a spontaneous Pink Panther dance party!

  • $2,000 — STUDENT CHOICE! Students will vote on what happens if we reach $2,500!

  • $2,500 — THE BIG CHALLENGE! Will it be pie in the face, silly string, taped to a wall, or silly costumes? Our students will help decide!

We are already at $860! Just $140 more to reach our next milestone!

Thank you for helping us teach our students the importance of kindness, generosity, and supporting others. Whether students participate by wearing school colors, making a donation, or simply spreading kindness, every act of CARE makes a difference.

Together, we can make a difference, Fawn Hollow! 🩷❤️
